We are looking for Junior Personal Income Tax Advisory Consultants to work from one of our offices in Diegem, Antwerp, Ghent or Hasselt.
Your key responsibilities
- You will research and prepare high level advice in various international personal income tax matters and be on a daily basis in contact through calls, face to face meetings or e mails with international clients and their mobile employees with respect to global mobility issues.
- You will notably assist them with:
- Cross border employment situations and the associated tax implications including application of Belgian domestic law and international double tax treaties in areas such as employment income, deferred income, share-based compensation, severance payments, pension income and director fees.
- Advise on global employment structures, package optimizations, cost efficient remuneration techniques and local constrains like special tax regime for expatriates and related tax aspects.
- Implementation of International Assignment policies and related issues as well as support the first practical payroll implementation of remuneration policies (salary splits, secondments and other international employment structures, withholding and reporting obligation).
- Interaction with the Belgian tax authorities during complex tax procedures.
- Understand and apply the internal processes since data is key in our job
- Collaborate with other teams within our department to ensure a holistic approach on a client level service, e.g. Managed Services team focusing on tax compliance or HR legal team for international social security and labour law implications. You will work as one team, share responsibility and engage to get the extra mile towards your client portfolio.
